Basic Cold Process Soap Class (Beginner Level)

Morning Class: Tuesday, June 5, 11am to 1pm

Evening Class: Thursday, June 7, 7pm to 9pm

Location: Rustique General Store, 1130 Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581

Learn how soap is made, and make your very own batch of soap in this class. What we cover: how to use scales for precise soapmaking; learn about the simple “no thermometer” room temperature technique and fume-free lye mixing; stick blender techniques for smooth and creamy texture; written instructions for cutting and curing your soap after class are included.   Each student will make their own 2 lb. batch of unscented or honey oatmeal soap, which is approximately 8 bars, retail value of $6 to 8 each.   Printed class handouts/notes, reference materials, and additional recipes are also included in a hardcover binder.

All materials and equipment are provided - please wear long-sleeved clothing to class, with long pants (no shorts) and closed toe shoes (no sandals.) Ages: 16 years to Adult.
